If you want to have one of the best croissants in Paris, then you must go to Boulangerie Blouet. It is located at 4 Rue des Petits Carreaux. That is the street which starts, just north of where Rue Montorgueil ends. It is where the Montorgueil Market is located (north of Les Halles). The street is full of food stores of different types and many different restaurants. It is mostly a walk street, but you will occasionally see vehicles on it.
These absolutely delicious croissants practically melt in your mouth! After eating these a few days in a row, I could tell the difference when I had to eat another. That happened to be on a Monday, when Boulangerie Blouet is always closed. After I took a bite of a croissant on a Monday, from another baker, my first thought was, “What the heck is this?!!” I don’t really know how croissants can taste so different, but I’m guessing it’s the quality of the ingredients, and the preparation.
I have been to a lot of boulangeries (bakeries) in Paris and have tasted many, many croissants, but since I haven’t been to all of them, I can’t yet really say that Blouet is the best, but I can definitely say that it is one of the best! I highly recommend it!
Enjoy!! Bon Appétit!!
