When inquiring about accommodations, don’t be afraid to ask about the bedding, linens or towels. I often read reviews from other people to see their opinion about those items. If there is a bad review about the linens or towels, I will question the owner about it. I want to ensure that they are in good shape and there is a sufficient amount. Even if they’re not, the owner will probably say it has been taken care of. Then you’re usually guaranteed a sufficient amount of nice linens and towels when you arrive. (I did this one time for a place on Hawaii. Then upon arrival, I found nice linens and towels.)
Check if there is a hair blow dryer for your use if needed – which is usually supplied. Although one time I forgot to ask and was surprised when there wasn’t! The host responded very quickly and brought one over. Unfortunately, when I plugged it in, it blew a fuse! But that was remedied quickly by supplying a brand new blow dryer and fixing the fuse.
These are the little types of things that you seldom come across. But if you take a minute to check for this in advance, you won’t run into it at all!
